Movement for You Practices

My life passion is movement, wellness, and sharing my knowledge with the world so you will feel better, be more present, and live the life you have always dreamed of.  It starts with dedication to mat, dedication to self, and dedication to wanting change.  Everyone is capable of finding that inner drive, that inner grit, to be the change they want to be and to see in this world.  Movement for You practices are the first step to being more and giving more back to this beautiful world that we live in.

MF Y Personal Practice

A series of practices consisting of yoga, Pilates, and dance conditioning.   Personal Practice is based of the founding ideas of Movement for You, A Way of Life Practice with a mental and physical component wrapped into each practice.  Circle of Breath, Movement, and Meditation are placed before each client for them to connect to their mind and body while dedicating to their mat practice work.  Clients will be welcomed onto the mat to experience Vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga practices, Classic Pilates mat work, and dance conditioning and strength exercises to enhance their overall well- being. MFY Personal Practice can be adapted for all skill levels whether an everyday person enhancing their movement study; to the elite athlete or dancer looking for more challenge.

MFY Kids and Mindfulness

Mat work involving yoga and meditation through movement.  MFY Kids and Mindfulness practices will also incorporate mental health components such as identifying human emotions and how the outside world and people make us feel and react.  Through movement, students are guided to release their emotions such as anger, frustration, pain, and anxiety as they are guided in a safe haven through Vinyasa and Ashtanga postures.  Eventually, students are guided through art and journaling to help release emotions further and to help them see how they are growing by identifying and releasing instead of keeping everything bottled within.  MFY kids and mindfulness practices can be a wonderful addition to school learning activities whether it be for gym class or within the regular school day learning environment. I have incorporated MFY kids and mindfulness practices into my own kids learning for their homeschooling credits for gym and counseling.

MFY Mindfulness for Families

As a movement specialist, mother, wife, lover of life, and advocate for humanity and wellness; I present MFY Mindfulness for Families.  This is a series of movement-based classes that will connect you to your breath and bring awareness to your thought patterns.  All movements are at a beginner level so you can slow down and do the exercises with a partner or with fellow family members whether young children, teens, or mature adults.   The movements will help guide you to your calm breath and teach you how to reconnect with that calm breath when you are feeling overwhelmed.   Practices will involve mat work, partner activities, journaling, and self- reflection.

MFY 6 weeks to Change

(Be the change you want to see)

MFY 6 weeks to change is also called Be the change you want to see.  I created this series-based practice work while working with high school students and college age students who needed direction and guidance on where to go.  I found that movement exercises helped to guide them to their dreams and goals.   This is a 6-week series involving physical movements from yoga, Pilates, and dance that will stimulate your mind and body to work together and block outside negatives from moving in.  The series will be challenging at times and teach individuals the importance of push through and grit.  Movement is only one aspect of this series.  Everyday journaling will be present in the 1st two weeks.  Then journaling over the 2nd two weeks of the series will take place 2xs a day when you are capable of placing it in your schedule.  The writing and journaling, movement activities, and placing the dedication aside to commitment for a 6-week time period helps one to create change in their lives.   You become the change you want to see by doing.
